About DLA Driving School

DLA Driving School was first set up in 2016 by Darren and Dave, who have over 40 years of teaching experience between them. After working for both national and local companies, Darren and Dave decided to take the leap and start up their own driving school. However, after a decade of working together, Darren now runs the school solo, building off his years of experience to continue directing a reputable, accessible and enjoyable learning environment. DLA Driving School was born out of his passion for the job, as well as his desire to create a company that can be trusted and approved, not just by students, but also examiners and fellow driving instructors. Darren ensures all his instructors work to his own high standards, and always puts the customer first.

Darren: "The industry has changed so much over the last 25 years however my passion remains the same. We keep hearing horror stories of instructors not turning up for lessons, pocketing bulk payments and disappearing, not giving the full time of the lesson, over charging for the test day and also some not actually being registered/qualified instructors.

I work extremely hard to ensure that DLA holds the highest standards as set by myself and that everyone can trust us and know they will be getting good value for their money, but more importantly, looked after. We are a rapidly growing company but at the same time maintaining our very high standards"
